BORN HERE. RAISED HERE.
Raised on pure Nebraska native grass
Tjaden Ranch cattle are raised on pure Nebraska native grass and then finished on high-quality hay and corn that is grown on our farm. This diet combination helps produce the perfect amount of marbling for a healthy, great-tasting product. We never give any of our cattle growth hormones or corn distillers, and all of our feed is grown on our farm, without any pesticides. This entire process takes between 14-18 months until they are ready to be butchered.
ALL OF OUR BEEF IS USDA INSPECTED & PROCESSED THROUGH STEAKMASTER IN ELWOOD, NEBRASKA
Once we take the beef to Steakmaster, it hangs there for three weeks to allow the beef to age, and then it takes approximately an additional week to be processed. Aging the beef increases flavor and tenderness. Many beef producers hang their beef for two weeks, but we believe the extra week gives more flavor and tenderness. We are so confident in this that we cover the additional week of processing fees just so our customers can experience the best-tasting, most flavorful beef possible. Our overall goal is for our customers to have access to the best all-natural grass-fed, grain-finished beef in the Midwest.
